Exhaustion

Does it ever get any easier to get things done, or am I just destined to be exhausted all the damn time?? Actually, I should get to bed right now but instead I've chosen to make another to do list on my trusty blog that I rarely use to see how much I can get done before I lose track and have to start another list. Here it is:

1 - Mario Quilt
2 - Sesame Street Rag Blankie
3 - Turtle Rag Blankie
4 - Sock Monkeys
5 - Breaking Dawn T Shirts
6 - Boy Rag Blankie
7 - Perler Coasters

Ugh. There's so much more I need to do. I'm going to bed. Maybe I can wake up a little early and sew or something...

Baby Blankies!

I have a ton of flannel so I've started making raq quilted baby blankies! I love the first two I made and now I'm addicted!

I think I might make a bunch of these (like I said, I have a ton of flannel) to take to craft shows this summer. I'm not really sure if they'll do well or not but I guess it's worth a try. Let me know what you think!

My recent endeavors

I realized I haven't posted anything on here in a really long time, so I decided it was time to post a video of what I've been doing!

It's sorta crafty, more artsy. My husband and I are the directors of a youth arts organization, Solstice Color Guard. This year was our first season out and I think we did a really really good job. The members were amazing, the staff was phenomenal, and we learned a lot with it being our first year out. We choreographed a four and a half minute winter guard show, that's huge as it is! I am so excited for next year and for the growth we have made as a group. We have a lot planned for our future with this group but for now we just want to celebrate our first completed season.

So, here's a video, it was probably the best show of the season. It's hard to get all the performers in the frame since it's a large floor so I'm working on finding a video that includes the rest of the guard!

Denim Rag Quilt

I've started working on my first denim rag quilt. It's a little harder than I expected, just when sewing. And of course it's fairly labor intensive to cut all the squares. The first row is cut and sewn together because I got a little ahead of myself and wanted to try to sew some before I was done cutting. Not a huge deal, because I definitely have enough flannel for the back and the denim will all look different no matter what. Pictures soon to come!!

Future Crafty Plans

I want to keep a list here of crafty endeavors I plan to do in the future, just to keep me on track. If I have purchased the materials already, they will be moved to the "Future Crafts" box on the right side of my blog. If anyone out there in blog land has any suggestions, ideas, or whatever about anything on my list please feel free to comment! Most everything I make will be added to my craft fair booth.

~Handmade Messanger bag
~Girls dresses/ skirts
~Tye Dyed Baby clothes

I know theres so much more but I can't think right now... I'll update soon.

My First Post... Umm...

So I decided to start this blog as a way to keep track of my crafty journey. I have a lot of projects underway and I'm horrible at starting a new one without finishing the old one. I'm hoping to keep track of everything here and maybe, just maybe, I'll have enough finished products to take part in a couple of craft fairs this holiday season. At least thats my goal right now!!
